Great room christmasOur Facility
Our lodge is designed on an open floor plan, modern yet retains the old world coziness of a traditional log home. As you enter through the front door you will be surrounded by the warmth of the red pine logs, peeled and hand carved by craftsman in Michigan. All the chinking (gray putty) between the logs has been lovingly applied by hand by the owners Nick and Sue Demidoff. The solid maple wood floors through out the lower level lead you to the great room, whose windows look out onto the garden, waterfall and pond.

Vista loftOnce in the great room you cannot miss the 23 foot granite fireplace that completes the ambience of a true log home. Look up to see an authentic elk chandelier. Marvel at the fact that all the structural timbers are the logs themselves – just as they would have built them in the past. Proceed into the “Deer Horn Bar” and you will see the chandelier that gave this bar its name. Both chandeliers where handcrafted by an artisan from Montana.
You will also notice antique artifacts of yester year studding the two story wall.

Our bar top itself has local history. A 900 year old oak tree – the ninth oldest in the United States, living in Pleasant Valley California fell after a severe rain storm in 1982. Mike McGee, a local Christmas tree farmer saved several slabs of this tree “waiting for the right home”. As you look through the bar doors – you enter our fireside covered porch. Here you will find an authentic granite wood burning fireplace – perfect for those chilly nights.

Map link to mapquestOur lodge has a second floor where you will find two carpeted “Vista Loft” areas overlooking both the great room and the bar area. These lofts are designed for cozy chats or more dining seating. If you look east through our windows you will see the snow capped peaks of the Sierras, look west and you see the gardens of the center.

A gourmet commercial kitchen, designed by our owners, where our in-house caterer will surprise you with exquisite cuisine. Selected wines, microbrews and draft beer are available, or we can pour your drink selections.
Please see the Services page, or call us.

Handicapped restrooms and change rooms are provided within the lodge for your convenience.
